What medical record review solutions do you offer?
We offer medical record organization and indexing, medical chronology, and medical summary services.
Why do I need medical records organization service?
The medical records that are retrieved from providers are voluminous and are often disorganized. They are not ready for review by an attorney or paralegal. We can properly organize and index these documents before they can be reviewed. We provide medical record review, medical record organization, medical summary and indexing services.
How can you help me with medical chronology?
We can help you with this challenging task, and identify, review, and interpret relevant information from the medical records. We summarize and highlight important medical-legal points that could prove useful to you at different stages of the discovery process.
Can you prepare medical case summary? How is it useful for me?
Yes, we can. Our medical case summary provides a clear, objective overview of the entire medical chart.
- We will clearly outline all the key points within the medical history, with details regarding all internal and external providers and care settings.
- You will be alerted to missing documents if any that may be critical to the case.
- The summary we prepare will also provide an objective evaluation of whether standards of care were met.
- We can also cross reference each piece of medical information with the medical chart. You just need to click on the hyperlinked Bates numbers in the report to immediately access the page of the medical record that contains that information.
I need deposition summaries. Can you assist me with those?
Sure. We can summarize hours of deposition testimony and save you valuable time and money. We will direct you to the important aspects of the case, and accurately record names, dates, figures, and exhibits, and provide a record of all key events and actions involved.
What can you tell me about your medical record retrieval service?
We retrieve the medical documentation lawyers need for medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, personal injury, insurance defense and class action cases. We have a skilled and experienced chart retrieval team and advanced software system to efficiently handle large volume medical record collection. We can retrieve medical records locally and on a national level.
How do you handle fees requested by record custodians?
All payments requested will be paid for if appropriate, and all payments will be coordinated with our clients.
How long will it take to obtain the medical records I need?
TAT for requests can be customized. The request will be done immediately on our end and the follow-up will also be done immediately. It depends on the type of legal release utilized such as subpoena or authorization, how recent and available the records are, and the medical records custodian. If we experience any problems along the way, it will be brought to your immediate attention.
We need medical claims review. Tell us how you can help us with this service.
We conduct a comprehensive review of medical claims submitted to you by providers, do an audit and efficiently process the claims to determine medical necessity, appropriateness, and efficiency of the services provided. Our review process helps determine patient eligibility, whether the claim has been submitted within your time limit, and whether the preauthorization/referral numbers are present as required under your policy. We can identify non-covered services that have been inaccurately billed, concurrent care, valid code linkages, bundled codes and services that are medically unnecessary.
I am a physician performing peer review for an insurer. Can you provide service in this regard?
Of course, we can. MOS can review the patient’s medical records and provide you with accurate information for the verification of the claims related to personal injury, workers’ compensation, and liability. We can create an accurate medical chronology and summary (Please refer to these services we have mentioned above) that will list all injuries, diagnostic and treatment timelines, and service providers. We identify and categorize separately all duplicate records, documents related to other patients, and irrelevant documents.
I am a physician. Can you prepare rebuttals for me?
Yes. We have the necessary expertise and experience to prepare and submit rebuttals and appeals to payers. We can prepare rebuttals for denials related to diagnostic studies, DME, surgical consults, chiropractic care, physical therapy and other services.
